Set up AS Mirror in five minutes
Do the phone part once; after that you just plug in and play. None of these steps changes anything in your phone’s system.
On your phone — once only
Turn on Developer options
Open Settings → About phone and tap “Build number” 7 times, until the phone says you are now a developer. On Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO, tap “OS version” (or “MIUI version”) instead.
Turn on USB debugging
Open Settings → System → Developer options (on some phones it is under Additional settings) and turn on “USB debugging”.
Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO? One more switch
In the same Developer options, also turn on “USB debugging (Security settings)”. The phone may ask you to sign in to a Xiaomi account. Then restart the phone. Without it the picture shows, but taps and keys do nothing.
On your PC
Install AS Mirror
Get it from the Microsoft Store: it installs with no Windows warning and updates itself. It needs Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The free 3-day trial starts on its own.
Plug in and tap Allow
Use a USB cable that carries data — many cables only charge. Open AS Mirror, unlock the phone and tap Allow on “Allow USB debugging?”. Tick “Always allow from this computer” so it doesn’t ask again.
Pick your buttons and play
Open the button editor and start from the preset for PUBG Mobile, Free Fire or Call of Duty Mobile, or place your own. Press the ` key (left of 1) to start playing; press it again, or F1, to get your mouse back.
No cable? Use Wi-Fi
For Android 11 or newer, with the phone and the PC on the same Wi-Fi. On the phone open Developer options → Wireless debugging → Pair device with QR code; in AS Mirror choose “Connect over Wi-Fi” and scan the code it shows. The cable is still faster, so use it when you play competitively.
If something isn’t working
AS Mirror doesn’t find the phone
Try another cable or USB port — many cables only charge. Make sure the phone is unlocked and you tapped Allow. Still nothing? In Developer options tap “Revoke USB debugging authorizations”, then plug in again.
The picture shows but taps and keys do nothing
On Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO, turn on “USB debugging (Security settings)” and restart the phone (step 3). AS Mirror tells you this itself when it happens.
No sound on the PC
Sound stays on the phone at first. To hear it on the PC, open Settings → Connection in AS Mirror and choose “PC only” or “Phone and PC”. This needs Android 11 or newer.
It says the trial needs an online check
During the free trial, AS Mirror checks the date online each time it starts. Connect the PC to the internet and connect again.
